In September of 2010, Emcon Services was awarded two Design/Build projects with the USDA.  One project is the design & construction of a new Pilot Plant Building and a Micro Lab Building in Ft. Pierce, FL for a total approximate value of $1.5M - $2M.  This ground up construction will include site work, concrete, site utilities, pre-engineered building, a Micolab, as well as plant process operations.  The second project is the design and construction of the Parr & Retort Lab Rooms in Florence, SC at a value of approximately $150k.  These fire rated lab rooms will contain 10ft and 8ft walk in fume hoods with high variable volume ventilation rates.

In September of 2010, Emcon Services was awarded two Design/Build projects with the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA.  The Building 7450 project is the design and construction for the replacement of existing chiller and pumping systems along with new 460/3 service transformer and electrical switchgear.  The system will untilize new air-cooled chillers with ultra high efficiency, oil-free, magnetic bearing compressors which provide efficiencies approaching 0.62 kw/ton.  The Building 3500 project is design and construction of complete boiler plant replacement including boilers, new feedwater system, blowdown separtor, new piping systems, replacement of electrical service and distribution panels, concrete, and waterproof flooring.  Both projects include the integration of new DDC controls into the base BAS system. The two projects total approximately $1M.

In March of 2010, Emcon Services was awarded the contract to install 4,200 tons of chiller capacity, cooling towers, pumps, controls, electrical sevices & medium voltage switchgear, concrete, etc. for the Central Utility Plant at the main CDC Roybal campus.  All new controls will be installed and the entire 14,000 ton plant will be Commissioned.  Emcon performed extensive value engineering to the project design.  The new equipment and all new controls systems will be put in operations summer of 2010.  The project is valued at over $3M.

In of August 2009, Emcon Services was awarded a design/build contract to replace the central air handling units at Building B at the CDC Lawrenceville Campus.  The new air handling systems will provide 100% outside air to animal facilities and labs contained within the building.  The scope includes site work, a new building for the AHU's, electrical, new controls system, mechanical piping and duct.  The project is valued at over $1M.

In July of 2009, Emcon Services was selected to provide design and construction services for the complete replacement of the Chiller Plant at the CDC Lawrenceville Campus site.  The project includes demolition of the existing plant along with temporary measures to provide chilled water during construction.  The new plant will include new water-cooled centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, primary/secondary pumps, new BAS controls by JCI, structural steel modifications, along with electrical service and reconfiguration of electrical gear to provide redundancy in service feeds.  The project is valued at over $3M.

In February of 2009, Emcon Services was selected to provide design and construction services for the secure UHF Radio Communications Systems for the CDC.  The project includes the renovation of 4 sites in GA and CO to accommodate the installation of Motorola radio systems.  The contract includes all radio systems and is valued at $3.5M.

In Fall of 2008, Emcon Services was awarded two projects with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in Athens, GA. One project is the design and construction of the new FSIS Sample Receipt Building to be constructed near the RRRC facility (approx. value $900k). The other project is the installation of new site fire mains and the installation of fire protection systems in the 10 story RRRC building and other support structures (approx. value $2.8M).

In the May of 2007, Emcon Services, Inc. was awarded our largest project to date.  The $6M project is design-build renovation of a facility at the Centers for Disease Control Lawrenceville, GA campus.  Emcon Services was selected on the basis of technical score and the best overall value from the panel of reviewers.  The fast track project is scheduled for completion in March 2008.

In September of 2007, Emcon Services, Inc. was awarded the Replacement of Cooling Towers and the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Atlanta, GA.  The $3M project will start in December of 2007 and complete by June 2008 and includes 1,000 tons of cooling capacity.
